Course Description
Mobile obstacles:

12"-high wooden barriers (aerial view with dimensions shown below) are placed in 1"-diameter holes in course.

Barrier configuration (one possibility shown below) randomly chosen from list of possibilities (to be released closer to competition date). Robots must be in place on course before barrier configuration is revealed.

Course will be pushed together with NO divider in the middle.

Space between warning lines in center of course will be considered the neutral territory and both teams may enter this area but may not cross their opponent's warning line.

Neutral zone May not be used to bypass the wall barriers.



  1. "Hail Mary Challenge"
    Sealed cloth (or similar material) pouch containing several ball bearings begins in center of green square. Goal: Carry object to target located near finish line.


  2. "Balloon Challenge"
    Three balloons anchored to course at marked locations. The will be 3-5 inches in diameter. Goal: Pop balloons to earn points.


  3. "Velcro Challenge"
    Tennis ball located in center of right-most Velcro square. Goal: Transport ball to left-most Velcro square.


  4. "Doorbell Challenge"
    Actual doorbell dimensions will be released as they become available. Goal: Depress button to ring doorbell.
Wire-tripped finish line:
Wire suspended 5" above course surface, attached to standards with alligator clips. Robot may cut wire to earn maximum points. Robot may touch wire or detach wire from standards (by passing through it) to stop clock.
